OSU Clinic focuses on healthy children and teens
OSU Physicians Houston Parke clinic opened a new Family Health and Nutrition Clinic for patients ages 2 through 18. The purpose of the new clinic’s family-based program is to help children and teens achieve a healthy weight and lead healthier lives. An OSU pediatrician and a psychologist are part of a team of professionals that includes a dietician and an exercise specialist. The team works with parents, caregivers and family members to help create lifelong changes in healthier eating and exercise habits for the family. Goals are specific to the child’s overall health, weight and age. Behavioral coaching provides emotional support and helps to identify barriers to making lifestyle changes.
